Sockhead beanies

I can’t believe it’s been over a year since I posted here!

Here are two of the things I’ve made in the last year: Sockhead Slouch Hat.

In Manos del Uruguay Alegría

In Schoppel-Wolle Zauberwolle

The first was knitted in Manos del Uruguay Alegría, and is an absolutely divine yarn! I was going to add the pom pom from the second onto the first, but decided I liked it better without.

The second was in Schoppel-Wolle Zauberwolle, which I don’t love quite as much, but the gradient was a lovely surprise because the dark blue was all hidden in the middle of the ball! I actually ran out of yarn for this beanie and at first I used another purple yarn to finish the top, but I didn’t like that much, so I undid it and made the rib and body of the hat a bit shorter. I think shorter goes better with a pompom anyway.
